FAQ – Preview and Active X

Q: Every time I click the ‘Preview’ button, Internet Explore pops up, with the "Active X" warning near the top. Is there a way to get rid of it so that I don’t have to say yes every time?

A: Sure! The work around is that you only need to click the "Preview" button once, and then don’t close the window. Next time when you make changes in the editor, you only click ‘Save‘, then go to Internet Explorer and click the refresh button. You will see the updated website content. There is no ActiveX warning anymore.

Side note #1: You won’t see the ActiveX warning when your website is put online. It only happens when the content is from your local machine.

Side note #2: If you use Windows XP, and if you want to install the wonderful browser FireFox, then you won’t see this warning either.
