This is day two of SEO week.  I have some great information coming your way — but not today.  Today is just a quick step by step on how to add Google Analytics or Stat Counter code to your splash page, that is created by the FlashPalette editor.

1. Find your site files. The default folder is in your My Documents/Flashpalette web site/ then the folder with the name of your site.

2. Find the index.html file, and right click.

3. Select open with and select either wordpad or notepad.

4. The page will open and you will see a the html code.

5. Copy your Google Analytics code and paste it just before the </body> tag on the page.

6. Click save.

7. Save a copy of the index.html file in a separate folder.  The page will be over written and any code you have added deleted each time you update your site.  Saving it in a separate folder will save you time, so you do not have to keep adding the codes back into the page.  It is best that when you update your site that you do not update the index.html page, unless you have made changes to the version that contains your codes.
