Hi !

I’m Steven Lott Smith

My friends call me Steve, my client’s and students know me mostly as Steven Lott.

Dropping the Smith was easier, while using my Dad’s name (in his honor) for our Studio.

Of course all that is too formal, I am laid back, often fail to spell
check anything and prefer Steve to any other name or title.

I retired from the United States Air Force October of 1993 and with the
help of my wife, opened Lott’s Photography Studio in Bossier City,
Louisiana.

My early photographic experience includes shooting for the Merced Sun
Star, Merced, California and the West Texas Chamber of Commerce,
Abilene, Texas.

I love creating images that strike emotion within the viewer as most photographers do.
I like to think that I am passionate about everything I do at 52 years of age, my wife may disagree at times.

I have been playing with technology since I was 7 years old when I took
the home telephone a part and then put it back together, and yes, it
worked.

I got serious about technology with my first Amateur Radio License early in high school and computers soon after that.

Some of my proudest moments:

Early graduation from high school (Parkway West Class of 75, Manchester, MO)

Serving my country during times of peace and war in the Air Force as well as my retirement from same.

The hanging of my print of "The Last Strategic Air Command Instructors
& Staff Barksdale AFB, LA" in the Museum of the Strategic Air
Command, Offute AFB, NE, remains the highlight of my profession as a
photographer.
A huge thank you to anyone who has ever been in any of my classes at
the local community college or one of my personal seminars. I learn as
much as I share and that is why I continue to teach photography,
teaching has quickly become one of my greater passions.
